How do I find and replace text?

Enter your search term in the Find field, the replacement in the Replace field, then click Replace All to replace every match or Replace Next to step through matches one by one.

Can I use regular expressions?

Yes — enable the Regex mode toggle and enter a valid JavaScript regular expression in the Find field. Use capture groups and backreferences in the Replace field (e.g. $1).

Is the search case-sensitive?

By default no. Toggle the case-sensitive option to make matching exact. In regex mode, the "i" flag is controlled by the same toggle.

What does whole word matching do?

When enabled, the search only matches the term when it appears as a complete word — surrounded by word boundaries. For example, "cat" will not match "concatenate".

How many matches can it handle?

There is no hard limit. The tool processes the entire input text in your browser regardless of size. Very large texts (millions of characters) may show a brief delay.
