Frequently Asked Questions
Page size is not Compress. Fit, Fill, Stretch, and Center do different jobs.
Is Resize the same as Compress?
No. Resize changes page dimensions such as A4 or Letter. Compress shrinks the file size in megabytes. Use /compress-pdf when you need a smaller download.
What do Fit, Stretch, and Center do?
Fit keeps proportions and scales the page into the new size. Fill crops to cover the page. Stretch fills the page and can distort text and shapes. Center places the original page on the new canvas and does not scale it up.
Will content get cut off?
Fit keeps the whole page inside the new size and may leave margins. Fill crops to cover the page. Stretch fills the page and can distort. Center does not scale. A larger original page can sit past the edge of a smaller target.
What units does Custom use?
Custom width and height use millimeters, inches, or PDF points. One inch is 72 points. A4 is 210 by 297 millimeters.
Can I unify mixed page sizes?
Yes. Every page is placed on the size you pick. Mixed source pages become one target size.
What if my PDF is encrypted?
This tool cannot process a password-protected PDF here. Unlock it first on /pdf-password, then come back with the unlocked file.
How do I verify privacy?
Resize runs in your browser. Your PDF is not uploaded to a NixRey server. Press F12 and open the network panel. The page may load app code and a worker. That is not your PDF.
