How it works
Four short steps. Drop images, set a size, choose Fit, then download. Resize runs in your browser. There is no Quality control.
- 1
Drop, browse, or paste
Add one photo or a batch. JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, and AVIF work. Paste from the clipboard if that is faster. Files stay on your device.
- 2
Set size or preset
Type width and height. Units are px, percent, or inches. Pick a Passport or ID preset, or a social preset. Longest side can cap the longer edge. Portal presets set Fill, JPEG, and Target KB under the portal max.
- 3
Choose Fit mode
Fit shows the whole image. Empty edges may remain. Fill meets the exact size and may crop. Stretch forces both edges and may distort. Social presets set Fill and clear Target KB.
- 4
Export and download
Export is Same, JPEG, PNG, or WebP. A portal preset locks export to JPEG. Download this image, or download every included file as a ZIP. There is no Quality High, Med, or Low control.
Built for private, preset-ready resizing
Same three-panel shell as Compress and Add Watermark. Aspect lock, Fit modes, and India and government presets match the locked Resize redesign.
Stays in your browser
Photos never leave your device. Processing is local, so private shoots and client work stay off our servers.
Aspect ratio lock
Lock width and height so proportions stay honest while you scale. Unlock when you want to type both sides freely.
Manual size and Fit
Set width and height yourself, then choose Fit, Fill, or Stretch. Fit keeps the whole image. Fill meets exact size. Stretch forces both edges.
India and government presets
Passport, PAN, GST, exams, and more. Exact width and height, Fill, and JPEG. Auto-compress a few KB under the portal max.
Social size presets
WhatsApp DP, Instagram post and story, YouTube thumb, and more common sizes. They appear as chips and a searchable picker.
Batch ZIP, HEIC, and AVIF
Resize a whole set with the same size or preset, then download as a ZIP. Drop HEIC and AVIF alongside JPG, PNG, and WebP.
Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers for people searching how to resize images online without uploading.
Do resized images leave my device?
No. Resize runs in your browser. Your image is not uploaded to a NixRey server. This tool does not download a model. Bundled resizer math is runtime code, not your photo leaving the device.
What is the difference between Fit, Fill, and Stretch?
Fit shows the whole image. Empty edges may remain. Fill meets the exact size and may crop. Stretch forces both edges and may distort. A portal preset locks Fit to Fill until you clear it. Aspect lock keeps width and height in proportion when you type one side.
Can I resize a batch of photos at once?
Yes. Drop several images, or paste on an empty queue. The same size or preset applies. Download All packs every included photo as a ZIP. Device memory sets the practical limit.
What presets are available?
Passport and ID presets include India and government sizes. Social presets cover common post sizes. Those portal presets export JPEG and try to stay under the portal max. Presets that include a pixel size also set width and height. Social presets use Fill and clear Target KB. Social presets and portal presets do not stack. There is no Quality High, Med, or Low control.
What formats does Resize support?
Intake is JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, and AVIF. Export is Same, JPEG, PNG, or WebP. A portal preset locks export to JPEG. Same, PNG, and WebP stay off until you clear that preset.
Does resizing remove EXIF?
JPG, PNG, and WebP downloads can still carry location and camera tags. HEIC and AVIF do not keep those tags in the new file. If the warning appears, open Remove EXIF Data before you post.
