Frequently Asked Questions

Pages become raster images. Embedded photos inside a page stay part of that raster.

What do Standard / High / Ultra mean?

Named DPI presets match the controls. Standard is 72 DPI. High is 144 DPI. Ultra is 216 DPI. Higher DPI means sharper pages and larger files.

JPG quality vs PNG?

JPG uses Low, Medium, or High. PNG is lossless and usually larger. Quality presets show only when JPG is selected.

Do I have to convert every page?

No. Select the pages you want. Clear removes the selection. Unselected pages stay out of the download.

Can I reorder or rotate pages?

Drag a page onto another to change the order. Rotate turns that page 90 degrees. The image or ZIP follows that order and rotation.

When is ZIP used?

Two or more pages download as a ZIP. One selected page downloads as a single image.

Does this extract embedded images?

No. Each selected page becomes one raster image. Photos embedded inside a page are not pulled out as separate files.

What about large page counts?

Raster runs off the main thread. The bar keeps a soft crawl when the percent pauses. Cancel stops the job. A large PDF can still take a while.

How do I verify privacy?

Conversion runs in your browser. Your PDF is not uploaded to a NixRey server. The page may load app and worker code like any website. That is not your PDF upload.

What if my PDF is encrypted?

This tool cannot process a password-protected PDF here. Unlock it first on /pdf-password, then come back with the unlocked file.

What next after convert?

Download the ZIP or the single image, or use Save As. Open Compress Image to shrink the exported images on this device. You can also open Images to PDF.
