What is in the .ico file?

A real multi-resolution icon container. The usual contents are 16, 32, and 48. Those are the classic Windows favicon sizes.

What is in the PNG ZIP?

One PNG per checked size. The file name matches the pixel size. This is not an .ico file that was renamed.

Does Cover crop my logo?

Cover fills each square from the center. Contain keeps the whole mark inside the square and leaves the spare area clear.

Can I leave out a size?

Yes. Uncheck it. The preview and the PNG ZIP follow the sizes that stay on. The .ico still embeds only 16, 32, and 48 when those stay on.

Do my images get uploaded?

No. Resizing stays in your browser. Files never leave this device.

Will a phone photo keep location tags in the .ico?

The new icon files do not copy camera location tags. The source photo can still hold GPS. Remove EXIF opens with that photo loaded.
