1. Overview

Nixrey ("we", "us", or "our") operates the website nixrey.com from Germany. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our free online tools (images, PDFs, text utilities, calculators, developer helpers, and related features). We process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR/DSGVO) where it applies.

Data controller: The operator identified in our Legal Notice (Impressum) is the controller for this website.

2. Your files stay on your device

We do not receive the files or text you process in our tools for execution. Routine operations, such as image editing, PDF merging or splitting, format conversion, text transformation, and similar features, run in your web browser using client-side JavaScript (e.g. HTML5 Canvas, WebAssembly where used, and in-browser libraries). We do not upload, transmit to our servers, store, or access those documents or inputs for processing. Outputs are generated locally and downloaded or shown in your browser unless you explicitly send data elsewhere (for example by following a third-party link).

3. Information we process

Because we do not collect your tool inputs on our systems, the personal data we or our processors may handle is limited to website operation and analytics:

  • Google Analytics (GA4):If you accept analytics in our banner, Google Analytics may use cookies and similar technology to collect information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and interactions on the site. This helps us understand usage and improve Nixrey. Google acts as a processor under our configuration; see Google's privacy documentation for details. You can opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. If you decline analytics in our banner, we signal to Google that analytics storage should not be used for measurement (Consent Mode).
  • Vercel Analytics: We use Vercel Analytics to collect aggregated web vitals and usage metrics (for example performance and traffic patterns). Vercel processes this on our behalf as a subprocessor. Details are described in Vercel's Privacy Policy.
  • Hosting and infrastructure: Our site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel and the network may process technical data (such as IP address, request metadata, and timestamps) needed to deliver pages securely over HTTPS.
  • Your privacy choice (local storage):When you respond to our cookie / analytics banner, we store your choice (e.g. accept or decline Google Analytics) in your browser's local storage so we do not ask on every visit. This preference is not sent to our servers as part of the banner itself; you can clear it by removing site data for nixrey.com in your browser settings.

4. Advertising

We do not currently display third-party advertising (for example Google AdSense) on Nixrey. If we introduce advertising or similar marketing technology in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and obtain consent where required by law before enabling tracking or personalized ads.

5. Data security

Tool processing for files and documents you use with Nixrey occurs locally in your browser, so that content is not sent to us for those operations. We serve the site over HTTPS. You should still protect your device and use current browser versions for the best security.

6. Children's privacy

Our service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Your rights under GDPR

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have rights including:

  • Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability: where they apply to personal data we hold.
  • Withdraw consent: where processing is based on consent (for example you may decline Google Analytics via our banner and browser controls).
  • Lodge a complaint: with a supervisory authority (Datenschutzbehörde), in particular in the EU member state of your habitual residence, place of work, or the place of the alleged infringement.

Much of the data we describe is processed by third parties (Google, Vercel) under their roles as processors or independent controllers for their services; you may also exercise rights with them as their policies describe. To contact us about this policy or your rights, email contact@nixrey.com.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date will change when we do. Material changes to cookies, analytics, or advertising may require a new choice where the law requires it.
