Do my photos get uploaded?
No. Convert Image runs in your browser. Your photo files are not sent to a NixRey server. The page may load normal app code. That is not an upload of your image. There is no account.
What formats can I convert?
JPG, PNG, WebP, or HEIC in. JPG, PNG, WebP, or AVIF out. Locked pair pages exist for the high-demand paths listed below.
Can I convert many photos at once?
Yes. Add a batch, leave the ones you want checked, press Convert included, then Download All ZIP. About 20 files or about 25 MB each is a soft tip, not a hard cap.
Does HEIC conversion upload my photo?
No. HEIC decode runs in your browser. A first visit may download a HEIC decoder so this browser can read the file locally. That download is the decoder, not your image. For sharing, Convert HEIC to JPG is the path we recommend.
What happens to EXIF after convert?
JPG, PNG, and WebP downloads can still carry location and camera tags. HEIC, GIF, and AVIF do not keep those tags in the new file. If GPS is present, a warning sits at the top of Preview. Remove EXIF Data opens with the converted photo.
Which format should I pick
- JPG when you need a photo that opens everywhere and a smaller file. Lossy. No clear area. Convert PNG to JPG when the source is PNG.
- PNG when you need a clear area, sharp UI text, or a lossless raster. Often larger. Convert JPG to PNG and Convert WebP to PNG.
- WebP when you want a smaller web file and modern app support. Can keep a clear area.
- AVIF when you want a modern lossy out from the hub Controls. High, Medium, or Low.
- HEIC in when the source is an iPhone photo. For sharing, use Convert HEIC to JPG. You can also convert to JPG, WebP, or AVIF here after one local decode.
